It has helped my kids with visualising how much time they have left for certain tasks -- whether it's getting ready to leave the house, practicing piano, or how much screen time they have left before they have to turn off the tv. I highly recommend it. The button on the top turns it off, and there are two switches on the back to control the volume (soft vs loud) and length of beeping (3s vs 30s). We got the one with a lovely rainbow and cloud.
